Overview
Custom built US power outage scraper, that aggregates the outage maps of over 200 power and utility companies. Data is scraped directly from a client's power outage map on their website, and returns client level, state level, and county level data. Berkeley Lab's Interruption Cost Estimate (ICE) and Power Outage Economic Tools (POET) are used to run a cost analysis of the current and past power outage incidents. The code base is open source and free to deploy using Docker, as well as a legacy database available for anyone to use.
