Abstract

A security audit of 272 Google Playstore mobile health care apps reveals several security and usability issues such as undisclosed permissions, outdated encryption schemes and vulnerable data transmission. Paired with an analysis of 2.56M user views, this research displays prominent flaws in applications that hold a user's most private data.
